Our snowboard terrain park offers features to challenge every level of rider.  Our snowboard and ski lesson packages are a great way to learn the sports.  We offer an excellent selection of rental ski and snowboard equipment for all sizes.  Forget something at home?  WE have a good selections of mitts, shirts, souvenirs, socks and other items to make your day memroable here at Stony.

Snowboarding is exhilarating and fun! There is no other feeling like riding through fresh powder - it's like floating on air. The 2010 Olympics are coming up and wee will have the action on the TV in the Chalet-cheering our Canadian athletes!

Although originally favored by teenagers, kids and young twenty-somethings, snowboarding is attracting more people from all ages and backgrounds. Try it and you'll see why! You don’t need to venture far from home to have a fun and affordable day.

Stony Mountain Ski Area is located 11 km north of the Perimeter Highway Winnipeg on Hwy # 7 in the community of Stony Mountain. Turn into the community of Stony Mountain and follow the signs to the north east corner of town. We are located on the east escarpment. Our location shelters us from the north west winds. We are 100 feet vertical and have 6 runs serviced by 2 lifts – one handle tow and one rope tow. Our area is covered by 100% snowmaking and we groom daily to offer you the best snow conditions in the Winnipeg area. We cater to beginner snowboarders and skiers offering numerous programs to get you on the snow!! Stony Mountain, cool since 1966!
